Simplify your metal conditioning work with this easy-to-use, long-lasting and quick cleaning 4” Makita Crimped Wire WHEEL, designed to work with your 4-1/2” Angle Grinder. Unlike a coated abrasive, however, a wire brush or wheel is designed to condition metal surface area and is NOT a metal removal accessory. Ideally suited for removing heavy corrosion, rust, paint, spatter and scale removal while also cleaning weld edges and deburring metal in hard to reach areas; great for cleaning castings, structural steel and sheet metal while also roughening for adhesion, finishing for appearance and preparation prior to plating or painting. Holding the brushes at an angle of no more than 5° with light, constant pressure ensures full wire-workpiece contact and maximal wire life. Incorrect angles or excessive pressure makes the wires heat up, become fatigued and prematurely break, while also may show up as bluing of the wires and the "groaning" of the angle grinder from the excessive load. Carbon Steel Wheels should only work on Carbon Steel to avoid cross contamination.

Picture of MAKITA Abrasive Paper Stereate 180G (10pcs)
115491
Makita offers a wide range of sanding products suitable for a variety of applications including wood, steel and white abrasives. A coated abrasive comprises 3 major components: abrasive grit, specific to the application; backing material to hold the abrasive and a bonding agent to glue the grit to backing. The grit size is determined by the number of holes per square inch required by a sieve designed to collect the grit. So the smaller the number – the coarser the cut. White Abrasives have a longer life due to the White Aluminium Oxide with stearate which provides an anti clogging quality.

Picture of MAKITA SDS Max Hammer
116031
The Makita 40V BL 1-9/16" SDS Max Hammer features Active Feedback-Sensing Technology (AFT®), which electronically turns off the motor if rotation of bit is suddenly forced to stop, and Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT®) for reduced vibration. More than just a padded handle, AVT is an internal counterbalance that uses air pressure to move counterweight pistons in the opposite direction of the drive piston to actively reduce vibration. In addition, the vibration-absorbing back handle and side handle further reduce vibration. For added durability in harsh job site conditions, Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) is engineered for improved dust and water resistance.
