    Self-drilling screws have a razor-sharp pitch that extends all the way to the head. These screws are used for quick fixing on steel. Due to the angled angle, this self-tapping screw penetrates metal quite easily and forms its own thread along the way. However, it is wise to pre-drill metal first. The drill hole should have a slightly smaller diameter than the screw.
